Hello and Welcome to our web site,
We of ‘Living Water Christian Fellowship’ are excited about what the Lord has in store for the body of Christ. The word tells us that we are to prepare for His coming and that preparation includes doing His will while we yet wait.
It is with great joy that we see a portion of His work assigned to this local body. In the years since God established this work we have seen Him continue to bless our lives, families, community, and this ministry. God has called Living Water to be one of the agents of true ministry, this is the ministry that Christ preformed and has assigned to His body (2 Cor 5:18).
He truly is a God of Reconciliation and we joyfully embrace this gift in our lives, for indeed reconciliation is not only defined as bringing back, but it also includes a reconnection to God’s will for your life. His will as stated in Jeremiah 29:11 says
‘…I have a plan for your life…’, and we see reconciliation as one of the elements of His plan, our task is to minister the message, God is still ‘walking in the cool of the day’ (Gen 3:8) seeking the lost.
Once we are reconnected to God we then have the power within us (1Jh 4:4) to recover from the sin that separated and so easily beset us (He12:1), this is the second element of this ministry. Many think that our recovery comes from having a strong will, be don’t be deceived only Christ can set you free (Jh 8: 36) and it’s this freedom that allows us to recapture the righteousness that was lost.
The third element is restoration, praise God for this because that means He not only places us in a position of righteousness but He resumes the plan for our life that was established before the foundations of the earth. Because the Word of God says this and the Holy Spirit affirms this we can know that this is real.
While we recognize the vital importance of evangelism and discipleship we also seek to answer the call to our neighbors and community. Because of this need we have established the ‘New Horizon Community Development Corporation’ with the intent of being a source of revitalization for our neighbors, community and city of Philadelphia.
